Our Staff

Billy Oram is the founder and field director of Genesis 2:15 Ministries. Billy was born and raised in South Africa where his father served as a British medical missionary. At the age of eight, he became a Christian. After the Army, Billy studied agriculture in South Africa. He spent the next 20 years working the agricultural field in both South Africa and the United States.

Billy’s wife, Debbie, is a teacher and helps with administrative responsibilities for Genesis 2:15 Ministries. She is from Georgia (mostly) and studied zoology and Biblical studies. Debbie has worked in various laboratory settings as well as teaching high school and college. She also served for three years in Southern Asia. Together, they have been blessed with 3 sons: Will, Micah, and Jonathan.

During their first trip to Haiti in December of 2007, God issued His call to the Oram family to serve Him in Haiti. Over the next three years, Billy returned multiple times to the southern coast of Haiti and the vision for Genesis 2:15 Ministries became clearer. In the fall of 2011, the Orams moved to Haiti.
